Honda develops cogeneration system for households

TOKYO, Japan - Honda Motor Co. has developed a compact cogeneration device for households (in photo) and is planning to start marketing it at roughly 200,000 yen by the end of the current fiscal year ending on March 31, 2003. Honda said July 18 that the 94-centimeter-tall device, which supplies both electricity and heat, would enable an ordinary household to save 40,000 yen in energy costs a year.
